Alone in Rome

Photo from Google

I find myself in a familiar place,
So warm, but there’s no fire,
Staring through an intimate gaze
In loud silence about to transpire;

The touch I had been missing,
I’ve finally felt again,
The voice that in my ears are ringing
Is now saying my name;

Gone are the nights of longing
When I was alone in Rome,
Now I’m never leaving
‘Cause in your arms, I’ve found home.
