Phantasm. Bewilderment. Clairvoyance.

Monday the 13th

I swear I’m trying to look at the bright side despite the unlucky circumstance I’ve faced today.

I welcomed Monday with a smile and with a work mode attitude because I hate being gloomy on a Monday, it feels like I’m starting the week wrong. This morning, when I arrived at the office, I felt something weird in my right eye. I checked it on the mirror and saw that my contact lens was already out of place and that it was already folded down to my eyeballs. I laughed it off, because fine, that’s what you get when you take the risk of taking a nap when you’re wearing your additional set of eyes.

Two-zero-one-seven

It’s been awhile since I last made a blog update. I’ve been really busy last month because of work-related projects and because it was holiday season. I was too lazy to write a year-ender so I’ve been sharing my life updates through Twitter and Instagram since they’re the easiest micro-blogging socmeds that exist.

It was my parents’ 24th wedding anniversary. One more year and they’re already turning silver!

It was my Jarrah‘s 23rd birthday. We’ve been best friends since second year high school and we’ve had each other’s family as an extension. 🙂

We prepared a surprise baby shower for one of my officemates, Krystal, who is already eight months pregnant. It’s a girl, folks! She’s expected to give birth this September so yep, so excited for a new baby girl in the Inquirer fam!

It was the birthday of my uncle who passed away just recently. Tito Yeng used to stay with us at home, perhaps about a year or so. He was a good music mentor and he had really been a good uncle to us. We really do miss him, especially our jamming moments. I know he’s already happy up there though. I know God‘s taking care of him. 🙂

It’s my parents’ 31st anniversary as a couple since they got together back when they were still in high school! Yep, they’re one of those lucky couples who’ve found love in their high school sweethearts.

We were in Laguna Bel-air the whole day doing BCBP stuff. It was a bonding moment with the BCBP fam and whew! I’m gonna see them again on the 29th!

Thank God for the families that He had given me. I’m beyond blessed to have these people in my life.

Quadruple Celebration

10 of #100HappyThings

Yesterday, my officemates and I celebrated four occasions in The Food Club Manila located at Diosdado Macapagal Ave., Pasay City. We reserved a table for yesterday’s lunch last week. It was already my second time in The Food Club, the first time was with my family last year. And eat-all-you-can buffets are one of my favorite things. I’m a certified foodie and I’m pretty much a 23-year-old-giant trapped in a petite 12-year-old body (LOL).

Pat, Krystal, David and I decided to share our resources (business people talking haha) to treat the team to an eat-all-you-can buffet lunch out as thanksgiving. Pat, Krystal and David had their birthdays this July, while I had my regularization this month. Quadruple celebration indeed!

Sir Raffy, Marvel, David, JM, Ate Jho, Ms. Prescy, yours truly, Pat, Krystal. Ate Angela was not around for some reasons.

It was indeed a sumptuous lunch and I think I was able to consume more than what I paid for. Haha! There were lots of choices, from Filipino food to Japanese to Chinese to Italian to whatever. There were fruit shakes and lots of beverages to choose from, too. Kill yourself with tempura, sashimi, shrimps, crabs, salmon, roast beef, nachos and tacos and many more! For your sweet tooth, you can choose from a lot of bite-sized cakes and brownies, mallows and cookies for the chocolate and strawberry fondues, crepe and ice cream, halo-halo, leche flan – name it! Even though I was already full after three plates of main dishes, there’s always a room for dessert, of course!

Not just one, but three! Haha!

The ambiance at The Food Club is pretty cool and they have friendly and accommodating staff as well. If you’re a fan of eat-all-you-can buffets, it’s definitely a must-try.

For more information, you can visit their website at www.foodclub.com.ph. I think some websites also offer discounted vouchers for this restaurant.

Looking forward to more food trips with these awesome people!
