Calming the Storm

20180603_124503-01.jpeg

The night fell and the stars shone bright

But the air was too cold and something wasn’t right,

A bridge fell down, I couldn’t cross

I’m stuck with a feeling that something’s lost;

~

I tried to look for it at the clouds in the sky

But it started raining as the heavens cry,

And the voices grew louder, a deafening sound

I screamed in silence until I felt found;

~

My demons, you tamed, my storm, you calmed,

Keeping me in a cage of freedom for the damned,

Your warmth is peace, I cannot deny,

In your walls, I can soar so high.

Five Things I’ve Realized When I Began to Embrace the “I’m a few minutes away from the office” Life

Slide1

It’s been more than a month since I moved to my place in the Metro. I’m less than 15 minutes away from the office, far beyond what I used to travel when I still go home daily. I used to spend one to two hours travel time commuting ever since I began working, and since I have experienced the convenience of living near my work place, I’m not sure if I’m ever gonna want to leave that life again.

Living near my workplace has made me realize a lot of things, and I’m going to share five of them here. 🙂

Project 365: #TheClverJourney

Hello! It’s been months of hiatus, and I didn’t even finish the #TINQ30 project I started last year before leaving the Inquirer, and before ending 2017. Though I continued it through my Instagram stories for 30 days, I hardly found the time to make a blog post for it, due to the holiday seasons and busy schedule while I was rendering my 30 days.

Screaming Fire

2018-01-23 09.33.14 1.jpg

Her voice was tender,
Soft and warm,
A shelter during the winter,
To be safe from harm;

She kept it so long,
Exploding inside,
Until she stopped the song
Because she can no longer hide;

The stars said it’s time
To let out her heart’s desire,
Now there goes her golden lime,
All screaming fire.

Multitasking is definitely a skill, but without proper project management, multitasking will bring you no good. Handling various Investment projects of the Inquirer Group, I had to learn how to manage my time and priorities to meet my deadlines.
