When I was in high school, overly-designed blogs are a thing. The more colors your blog has, or the louder your blog was, the better. As a newbie in the blogging world that time, I joined the trend, tweaking my blog layout time after time, putting butterflies and clouds and random stuff all over. I didn’t care if the whole layout made sense; for as long as I thought it’s cute, I’d go with it.
As I explored the kingdom of blogging through the years, I was able to know myself more and I realized that those teeny-bopper and candy-sweetie feels of blogs don’t actually fit me. This time, I opted to have a minimalist blog theme. Neat and simple. Fresh and cozy.
Since I really have a thing for Ferris wheels, I used a picture of it as my temporary blog header since I haven’t made up my mind yet regarding my personal blog header’s design. I’m going to change my header image soon since I only got the photo from Google (credits to the owner).
I’m glad that WordPress has elegant minimalist themes. Indeed, less is really more. 🙂
